Man Charged in Edinburgh Mother’s Death After Nearly a Year

A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of Khasha Smith, a mother of three who went missing nearly a year ago. Khasha, who was 35 years old, was last seen on October 10, 2023, during a FaceTime call with a friend. Her family reported her missing in January 2024 after they had not heard from her since November.
Despite extensive searches and investigations, Khasha’s body has not yet been found. Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, led by Detective Chief Inspector Bob Williamson, continues to investigate her disappearance and believes that Khasha is deceased.
